Community Peacemaker Teams
Community Peacemaker Teams is an accompaniment organization that builds global partnerships to transform violence and oppression. Our work centers around advocacy, human rights, antimilitarism, and solidarity networking, all areas of focus that have inherent climate impacts. We currently have five teams working in Iraqi Kurdistan; Lesvos, Greece; Palestine; Colombia; and Turtle Island. Through direct action and partnering with local peacebuilders, we work to dismantle systems of oppression that include environmental racism and the adjoining health and safety impacts in each community.
Get involved: While we have opportunities for individual and congregational involvement such as joining our mailing list and donating to our efforts, direct action is always the most effective way to get involved. Check out the following opportunities for direct action:
Check our homepage for current petitions to sign.
Hit the streets! Join a protest in your own local region to support the work of land defenders.
Join a peacemaker delegation to one of our team locations.
Invite a CPT speaker to your congregation or community event.
