Creation care resources from trusted, faith-based sources can be hard to come by, especially when you are just starting your creation care journey. The Cumulative Resource page is designed to meet congregational creation care needs in one convenient location. It includes lists of creation care organizations, worship and educational materials, facilities resources, and outreach and advocacy ideas.

Creation Care Planning: Complete Guide – This guide contains all of the sustainability planning exercises within the four Creation Care Action Plans.
Developing a Creation Care Commitment – This exercise helps a church develop a creation care commitment from a place of unity. It can also be found in Plan 1.
Long Term Planning Guide – This guide leads your Creation Care Team through a series of exercises to develop a long term plan for intentional creation care.
Project Planning Accountability Guide – This accountability guide will help you visualize your goals for an upcoming project and hone its direction.
Project Evaluation Guide – This evaluation guide will help your Creation Care Team evaluate a completed creation care project. It is meant to be paired with the Project Planning Accountability Guide, but can be completed independently.
Project Prioritization Chart – This exercise will help your Creation Care team evaluate and compare potential creation care projects.
Reconciliatory Action Brainstorming Guide – The goal of this guide is to identify potential reconciliatory actions that your church can take alongside other community organizations.

Care of Creation: A nonprofit creation care organization in Wisconsin
Center for Religion and Environment: CRE of Sewanee, the University of the South, was established “to help students and the broader community integrate religious belief with care for the environment, to prepare students across the curriculum for environmentally conscientious work and ministry, and to serve as a focal point for University-wide initiatives related to religion and the environment.”
Catholic Climate Covenant: “Catholic Climate Covenant helps US Catholics respond to the Church’s call to care for creation and care for the poor.”
Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions: “The Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions (CSCS) is a collaborative initiative of Eastern Mennonite University, Goshen College and Mennonite Central Committee to lead Anabaptist efforts to respond to the challenges of climate change.”
Citizens Climate Lobby: “Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change.”
Citizens for Public Justice: “Citizens for Public Justice (CPJ) is a national, progressive organization of members who are inspired by faith to act for social and environmental justice in Canadian public policy.”
Climate Caretakers: “Our mission is to mobilize Christians to learn about, pray for, and act on climate change.”
Creation Justice Ministries: “Creation Justice Ministries (formerly the National Council of Churches Eco-Justice Program) represents the creation care and environmental justice policies of major Christian denominations throughout the United States.”

Evangelical Environmental Network: “The Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN) is a ministry that educates, inspires, and mobilizes Christians in their effort to care for God’s creation, to be faithful stewards of God’s provision, to get involved in regions of the United States and the world impacted by pollution, and to advocate for actions and policies that honor God and protect the environment.”

Global Catholic Climate Movement: “The Global Catholic Climate Movement (GCCM) serves the Catholic family worldwide to turn Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’ encyclical into action for climate justice.”
Good News Gardens: “We believe that one thing that love could do right now is call a community of people with the ability to plant gardens of all sizes and kinds together – from small pots of herbs to hundreds of acres of corn – in order to share the love of Christ through word and action, food and labor.”

Lutherans Restoring Creation: “Lutherans Restoring Creation is a grassroots movement promoting care for creation in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.”
MCC Washington Office: “At MCC we base our advocacy on what we hear from workers and partners on the ground; as Christians, we believe loving our neighbors means their voices shape our messages to governments.”
Mennonite Creation Care Network: “Mennonite Creation Care Network is a Christian organization affiliated with the Mennonite Church USA and the Mennonite Church Canada. National Association of Evangelicals: “The mission of the National Association of Evangelicals is to honor God by connecting and representing evangelical Christians.”
Presbyterians for Earth Care: This is a presbyterian eco-justice network that “advocates for faithful environmental ministry and advocacy.” It is a blog for churches and location for many creation care articles.
Quaker Earth Care Witness: “Quaker Earthcare Witness (QEW) is a network of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in North America and other like-minded people who are taking spirit-led action to address ecological and social crises from a spiritual perspective, emphasizing Quaker process and testimonies, including continuing revelation.”
Sojourners: A magazine that seeks to “inspire hope and build a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church, and the world.”
Sustainability Alumni Network: “a public workspace for info-sharing and discussion around climate and the environment, SAN projects, job/internship opportunities and general inspiration.”
The Taos Initiative for Life Together: TILT is a social change movement in Taos, NM, that pursues watershed discipleship and reimagining justice in America.
Transition United States: “Transition US (TUS) is a national hub organization for the international Transition Towns movement of communities transitioning off fossil fuels, living in balance with resource limits, and building equity for all.”
Unitarian Universalists Green Sanctuary Program: “The Green Sanctuary Program provides structure, leadership and support, in broad collaboration, for the UU faith community to engage in an ambitious Environmental Justice and Climate Justice movement that seeks to live fully our seventh principle and achieve our vision of a viable and just world for all.”

United Methodist Creation Care Summit: “The Creation Care Summit is an annual United Methodist event centered on care for the Earth and on environmental justice. Attendees have explored the marriage of faith and environmental care.”
Western District Conference Resource Library: This Mennonite Church USA conference has many creation care resources and blogs on their website.
Wild Church Network: “The Wild Church Network is an emerging community of eco-spiritual leaders, organized to nourish the spread and growth of Wild Churches.”
